Adoption Process

Application

Please fill out the application form at the bottom of this page. Include as much information about your household, lifestyle and previous pet experience as possible so that we can match you to the right animal.

Home Check & Meeting

We home check EVERY adoption we carry out to ensure it is the best place for both our animals and the adoptive family. We are not looking for extremely rich, pristine mansions with acres of garden... we are looking for a home full of love, that is secure and understanding with the right atmosphere for our animals. We DO adopt out to people without gardens and with children, but it is assessed on each individual animals needs and suitability. There is NO upper age limit but you must be 18 and over to adopt. During the home check we will have an informal chat whilst filling out paperwork to get a real feel for the family and their needs, as well as if they can meet the needs of the animal to ensure a successful adoption for everyone.

Adoption Fees

The adoption fee must be paid on the day of adoption. For adoption fees we accept direct bank transfers, card payments, PayPal or cash. All of our animals come, microchipped, treated for parasites (fleas, worms and ticks), vaccinated and neutered where medically possible. Puppies and kittens come with a neutering clause in the adoption contract meaning the adopter MUST have them neutered when approved by a vet to do so.

Dogs: £300

Puppies: £400

Cats: £150

Kittens: £150

Terms & Conditions:

We reserve the right to fail home checks based on our assessments. If adoption fees are not paid we will not leave the animal in the new home. If due to any reason you have to give the animal up in the future, the animal MUST be returned to Broken Souls Rescue NOT sold. If a family member is able to take the animal we will need to be informed beforehand and will carry out a new home check. Adopters must keep up with flea and worm prevention treatments and vaccinations. If the rescue at any time feels the animal is not being treated properly or the home is unsuitable we will remove the animal from your care. All adoption fees are non refundable from moment of payment.

We ALWAYS have cats available for adoption but we cannot keep up with changing their profiles on the website! Please fill out the adoption form at the bottom of this page and one of staff will be in contact to match you to your purrrrfect feline partner!

Pictured is Susie & Jamie affectionately known by staff as The Kray Twins. They will be just 1 year old this April 2024. They are a bonded pair who MUST stay together. They are indoor, long haired cats. They are very nervous and take a lot of time to come around and trust. They will need a super quiet and extremely patient home with no other pets or children. In the right home with one to one attention they will come around and be lovely cat companions.

Age: 1 year

Gender: Male (to be neutered when older due to breed type)

Breed: Cane Corso

Medical: NONE known

Behaviour: Needs to be only pet in the home. No small children under 10 Experienced large breed home wanted. Fynn is a super sweet puppy who is extremely cuddly and loving, he wants so desperately to bond with someone. He can have separation anxiety a little bit and as a young pup he will chew things if left to his own devices. He can walk beautifully on lead IF there are no other animals around, however he is extremely reactive to seeing other dogs, cats or livestock out on walks. This will need continued training and on going work with an experienced home. He is a large breed dog who came from a UK pound.

Recently Fynn has been in a foster home where he has even made a dog friend and they have socialised whilst muzzled. He will need a home who is committed to continuing with his important training.
